The minimum purchase is US$25 (25 pixels). The maximum purchase is whatever is left on the grid. Anything else must be in multiples of 100.
Images must be the exact size you have paid for (e.g. 100 pixels = 10 x 10 pixels).
Images must be in GIF, JPG or PNG format with a reasonable file size (i.e. less than 200 KB).
Links must be to webpages only and begin with http://
You must have the authority to provide the image and link for your website.
Funds must be received and cleared before your image and link will go live.
Buying pixels does not give you the right to own any part of this website. You are given the right to submit an image and link, which is then be published in the space you have paid for.
You cannot change the image or link once you have submitted them*. These will remain on the site until at least 10/10/10. (*It is possible that exceptions may be made, but this is at Robert Black’s discretion. Exceptions may include that your site no longer exists or that your business has changed substantially.)
Once your image and link are published, you will not be given a refund.
No obscene, offensive, adult images or links will be accepted. Robert Black reserves the right to reject images and links. If this occurs, you will be refunded the full amount (minus any payment processing fees).
If your link and image are accepted and you later change them to show offensive, obscene or adult material, they will be removed. You have the option of providing a new image and link, once. You will not be given a refund.
You have the option to remove your image and link at any time. You will not be given a refund and your block of pixels becomes available again.
Images must NOT be animated.
It is possible that an image submitted earlier than yours may overlap your chosen block. In this case a space nearby to your preference will be used instead.
An image will usually remain in the same position on the grid, but Robert Black reserves the right to change the position if necessary.
There may be occasional downtime for site maintenance. In the event of downtime due to external and unplanned factors, Robert Black will act to get the site back up ASAP, but you relinquish any lien or hold to a guaranteed uptime.
Robert Black reserves the right to add additional features or functions to the site, which may later be withdrawn (I need this flexibility in order to experiment with ways of increasing site traffic). The only features of paid pixel ads which are to remain fixed are the URL, title text, and the pixel image in its paid-for pixel dimensions. [clause added 3/09/2008]
Once you have ordered your block and the funds have cleared (e.g. in the PayPal or bank account), Robert Black will aim to get your image and link online within 24 hours.
In any legal or contractual dealings with this site or with me connected to this site, Robert Black is acting as an agent of ThereFor Pty Ltd, registered in Victoria, Australia. These terms of sale are subject to Victorian law and the Victorian courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from the site.
